Logistics Manager – Retail

Reporting to: Regional Manager

Reported to by: Receiving Manager, Picking Manager, Dispatching Manager

Targets of the position:

1. He ensures that warehouse and trucks are safe, clean and well organized.
2. He ensures that stores are supplied on time with correct volume of goods.
3. He takes all steps necessary for having lowest possible shrinkage and extremely low cost.
4. He is responsible for having the highest possible productivity.
5. He ensures that supply chain is efficient and effective. 

Specific powers and Responsibilities:

1. 1. He recruits all warehouse personnel for his area.
   2. He decides on job advertisements for his area.
   3. He decides on the number of employees in each department
   4. He decides on salaries according to the company’s salary policy.
   5. He decides on the delivery schedule of each store together with Sales Manager.
   6. He decides on the holiday programs of his direct reports and their deputies.
   7. He decides on investment in warehouse equipment up to be discussed.
   8. He decides on planning the route of company truck and driver to save cost and time.
   9. Select, proposed, negotiate contracts within his jurisdiction.
   10. Respond to issues and complains of store.
   11. Ensure all operations adhere to laws, guidelines and requirements.
   12. He decides on all expenses and repairs up to -to be discussed.
   13. He is responsible for all security matters for the warehouse and the trucks.
   14. Report all accidents in his department at once.
   15. He decides on personal checks of his personnel and is responsible that all doors and gates are closed at the end of the day.
   16. He gives advice to the Regional Manager if a new store location is suitable in terms of logistics.
   17. He participates in the Regional and LMM (Logistic Managers Meeting)
   18. To act as Chairman Ex Officio in Safety Committee.
